The Omnia MPX Node is the first purpose-built hardware codec capable of sending/receiving full FM signals at data rates as low as 320 kbps, utilizing the Omnia MPX algorithm. The Decoder receives an IP stream from an Encoder source and converts it to an analog FM composite signal for direct connection to a transmitter. Sources can be MPX Node Encoders, an Omnia 9 (with MPX over IP upgrade) or SST Processing software. By transporting an FM composite signal rather than left/right audio, broadcasters can keep their on-air processing and RDS encoding at the studio, then deliver a transmission-ready, peak controlled FM multiplex signal directly to one more more FM transmitters without the need for transmitter-side peak limiting or stereo generation. MPX Node's HTML 5 web GUI makes for simple browser based control using a laptop, tablet or smartphone. 5 in, 5 out GPIO supports flexible remote control. Cool running 1/2 RU form factor, and 12V external power with locking connector. Rack mounting kit included.
